Character & Roleplay Guidelines

Wait for your character to be approved before playing them! This is to ensure that each character application follows the Application Guidelines.
Play fair. This means no godmodding, no powerplaying, and no metagaming--roleplaying often stops being fun when one person always has the upper hand, all the information, and all the power. It's fine to make and play powerful characters, but try to keep things realistic and make sure they still have weaknesses!
For the most part, this site adheres to PG-13 guidelines; the only notable exception is that strong language is permitted.
Graphic sexual content of any kind is prohibited. Keep it to implications at most.
In general, if you think something in a given post might be upsetting or involve sensitive subjects, you might want to add a warning at the start!
If your character hasn't been told about or experienced something that happened to someone else in-character, they won't know about it. Out-of-character info doesn't translate into in-character info unless explicitly stated!
